Responsibilities include:

• Processing customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
• Understanding and operating the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders such as cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons, and checkout procedures according to company policy.
• Adhering to company limits on cash shortages and overages, working honestly to control loss.
• Following guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Reporting pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Following policies and procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Staying current with advertisements and promotions.
• Adhering to food safety regulations and safety procedures, and reporting unsafe conditions or incidents.
• Creating a welcoming environment for customers, assisting with product questions, and providing support to diverse customer needs.
• Following all applicable laws and company guidelines.
• Working cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Managing conflicts professionally and acting with honesty and integrity.
• Supporting and assisting vulnerable populations, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
