Cashiers process customer transactions efficiently and accurately at the checkout lane.
Checkers understand the Point of Sale (POS) system and handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, and coupons, following company policy.
They adhere to cash handling limits, control loss, and follow guidelines on restricted sale items like alcohol, tobacco, and DVDs.
Report pricing discrepancies, follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons, and stay updated on current and upcoming promotions.
Follow all food safety regulations and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions or accidents to management.
Maintain equipment and create a welcoming environment for customers, answering questions and providing excellent service.
Comply with all laws and company policies, work cooperatively in a high-paced environment, manage conflicts professionally, and act with honesty and integrity.
Support and assist customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults, and perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
