Position Purpose: Cashiers play a critical customer service role by providing customers with fast, friendly, accurate, and safe service. They process checkout and/or return transactions, monitor and maintain the Self-Checkout area, and seek product knowledge to assist customers and identify selling opportunities. They follow policies to minimize shrink. A Head Cashier supports Cashiers by expediting price checks, approving POS transactions and markdowns, and supervising and training Front End Associates. The preferred qualification for a Head Cashier is 1+ years of cashier experience.
