You will greet customers, process purchases quickly with the electronic cash register, scanner and scale, and help bag items while keeping the checkout area clean and secure. Our environment emphasizes teamwork and customer care in a fast-paced grocery setting.

Qualifications

• Basic mathematics required.
• Experience in customer service is a plus.
• Prior experience in related field or industry.
• Ability to handle cash and operate POS equipment.

Responsibilities

• Greet, assist, and ring out customers politely.
• Process purchases quickly and accurately using the electronic cash register, scanner and scale.
• Keep the register area clean and organized; bag items efficiently.
• Prevent loss by careful handling of money and merchandise and following store procedures for coupons, WIC and other payments.
• Ensure personal and co-worker safety by adhering to store safety rules and reporting hazards.
• Perform miscellaneous tasks as needed by supervisors.
