Responsibilities include:

  • Processing customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
  • Understanding and operating the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders, and adhering to company policies on cash shortages and overages.
  • Following guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
  • Reporting pricing discrepancies.
  • Managing postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons according to policies.
  • Staying current with ads and promotions.
  • Adhering to food safety regulations.
  • Following safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions, and practicing preventive maintenance.
  • Creating a welcoming environment for customers by assisting with questions about products.
  • Complying with all laws and company policies.
  • Working cooperatively in a high-paced environment and managing conflicts professionally.
  • Acting with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  • Following directions and seeking assistance when needed.
  • Supporting minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
