Responsibilities:

1. Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the checkout lane.
2. Understand and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders and offers according to company policy.
3. Adhere to cash handling limits and work honestly to control loss.
4. Follow guidelines on restricted sale items such as alcohol, tobacco, and DVDs.
5. Report pricing discrepancies and stay current with advertisements.
6. Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
7. Comply with food safety regulations and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions.
8. Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions and providing assistance.
9. Follow all applicable laws and company guidelines.
10. Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment, managing conflicts professionally.
11. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
12. Support and assist diverse customer needs, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
13. Perform essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodations.
