Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk

Essential Job Functions:

1. Greet, engage, and assist customers actively and visibly.
2. Process transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently through the check lane.
3. Understand and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders and adhering to company policies on discounts, coupons, and special offers.
4. Maintain awareness of cash limits and work honestly to control loss.
5. Follow guidelines regarding restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
6. Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
7. Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
8. Stay updated on current and upcoming promotions and ads.
9. Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions or incidents.
10. Perform preventive maintenance checks and report equipment issues.
11. Create a welcoming environment for customers, answering questions about products.
12. Comply with all applicable laws and company policies.
13. Work effectively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
14. Manage conflicts professionally and cooperatively.
15. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
16. Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
17. Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
18. Perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
