Job description

At Wegmans, our cashiers ensure customers leave with a positive experience. In this role, you will provide proactive and excellent customer service, assisting customers at traditional checkout and self-checkout lanes. Your goal is to leave a lasting impression and turn first-time shoppers into loyal Wegmans customers!

What will I do?

• Engage customers with friendly conversation, maintain eye contact, smile, and proactively offer assistance, thanking customers for shopping at Wegmans.
• Scan items and process payments efficiently and accurately at the register.
• Bag items properly to ensure they arrive in the same condition they left the store.
• Manage traffic flow at self-checkout, direct customers to available lanes, ensure systems are functioning, and assist with troubleshooting.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked workspace.
