Job summary

Texas Health Resources in Denton is seeking a friendly Cashier to join our patient-focused team. You will operate a computer-based register during meal service, ensure accurate charges, and support daily cash handling in a fast-paced environment.

You should have a high school diploma, at least 1 year in customer service or cashiering, and a Food Handler certificate. We value clear communication, discretion with visitors and staff, and teamwork that delivers exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent is preferred.
  • 1 year of relevant experience in customer service or as a cashier in a high-volume setting required.
  • FHC - Food Handlers Certificate 30 Days Required.

Responsibilities

  • Operate computer-based register during meal service periods and ensure accurate charges to each customer.
  • Demonstrate the ability to handle and count money in a high-volume situation; verify cash drawer amounts before and after meal periods.
  • Demonstrates customer skills and performs customer recovery, resolving customer issues at point of service.
  • Follow established standards for food safety and sanitation; follow standards for cleanliness and stocking within the assigned area; follow proper hand hygiene.
  • Performs other job duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.

Education

Experience
  • 1 year of relevant experience in customer service or as a cashier in a high-volume setting required.
Certificate & Licenses
