Job responsibilities include:

• Processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently at the check lane.
• Understanding and operating the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders, and managing complex loyalty offers, coupons, and checkout procedures per company policy.
• Adhering to company's cash handling limits and control loss effectively.
• Following guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Reporting pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Following policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Staying current with advertisements and promotions.
• Complying with food safety regulations and safety procedures.
• Creating a welcoming environment for customers and assisting with product inquiries.
• Following all applicable laws and company policies.
• Working cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Managing conflicts professionally and with integrity.
• Supporting customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Performing essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
