Job summary

Paisans in Chicago is seeking a friendly cashier to provide fast, accurate service at the POS. You will handle cash and card payments and give customers clear receipts. Your role includes answering questions about menu items and offering upsells when appropriate, while keeping the dining area tidy and stocked.

As the face of the company, cashiers provide fast, friendly, and accurate services for our customers through our POS system. Accuracy and basic math skills are important, as someone in this position will be handling payments in the form of cash and providing change. Knowledge of restaurant products is essential, as the cashier will be responsible for assisting our customers with questions and suggestions. Cashiers will also be responsible for keeping work area neat and tidy, restocking items as needed, and cleaning lobby and dining areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
