Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of food handling/store experience.
• High School Diploma/GED.
• Illinois Food Certification, or the ability to become certified.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to all customers and callers.
• Check product quality for displays and rotate pastries/desserts.
• Prepare handcrafted beverages per Brand Standards.
• Keep all store areas clean at all times.
• Refill and organize pastries and beverages on display.
• Communicate current menu items and promotions to guests.
• Operate Toast POS and handle cash/credit transactions accurately.
• Be knowledgeable of quality products and beverages.
• Greet guests with eye contact, a smile, and kindness.
• Answer questions about menu items and preparation processes.
• Suggest pairings to enhance guest experience.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to all customers that come into the establishment or call for orders, following Paris Baguette’s high standard of excellence.
• Check the quality of all the products for displays and organize the rotation of displays for all pastries and desserts.
• Prepare all handcrafted beverages per Brand Standards efficiently.
• Keep all areas of the store clean at all times.
• Refill and organize all pastries and beverages on display.
• Communicate up-to-date, accurate information regarding core menu items and seasonal promotions to guests.
• Operate POS system (Toast) and perform tasks such as cash handling and credit card processing with attention to accuracy.
• Be knowledgeable of our quality products, specialty menu items, and beverages.
• Pay attention to guests and greet guests by making eye contact, smiling, and spreading joy!
• Answer guests’ questions regarding menu items, order decisions, and preparation processes.
• Enhance the guest experience with suggestive pairings.
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Education/Experience

• Minimum of one year of food handling/store experience, Paris Baguette experience preferred.
• High School Diploma/GED.
• Illinois Food Certification, or the ability to become certified.
