Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Customer service experience
• Ability to handle stressful situations
• Effective communication skills
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)

Desired Previous Job Experience:

The Cashier/Checker is responsible for:

• Greeting, engaging, and assisting customers actively and visibly.
• Processing customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understanding and handling various tenders and adhering to company policies regarding cash, coupons, loyalty offers, and restricted sale items.
• Reporting discrepancies and following policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Staying current with ads and promotions.
• Adhering to food safety and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions, and practicing preventive maintenance.
• Creating a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions and providing assistance.
• Following all applicable laws, regulations, and company guidelines.
