Job summary

Farm Boy in Kentucky is seeking a customer-focused team member to enhance the shopping experience and support daily store operations. You will engage customers, assist at checkout, and help with product knowledge and service standards.

This role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, teamwork, and delivering a welcoming, clean store environment.

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for delivering engaging and exceptional customer service.
• Retail experience is asset; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• For locations selling alcohol: Smart Serve certification (or willingness to complete).
• Ability to work independently with attention to detail and pride in delivering quality results and maintaining cleanliness.
• Collaborative, team-oriented approach with strong communication and organizational skills.
• Strong mathematical ability with accuracy when processing transactions and handling tenders.
• Thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on setting with multiple deadlines and varying conditions.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Fluency in English; French skills are an asset.

• Deliver warm, confident, and engaging customer service that reflects Farm Boy’s commitment to the best fresh shopping experience.
• Welcome, greet, and assist customers while processing purchases efficiently and accurately, including scanning items, bagging orders, and collecting tenders using Farm Boy Service Standards.
• Share your knowledge and passion for Farm Boy products while assisting customers with questions and product information.
• Learn and apply product codes quickly and accurately to ensure timely checkout service.
• Handle all cash and tender transactions responsibly, including balancing tills and maintaining payment accuracy.
• Support store operations by answering and directing incoming phone calls as needed.
• Assist with the safe handling and sale of alcohol at applicable locations (Smart Serve certification required or willingness to obtain).
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work, storage, and front-of-store areas through general housekeeping duties, including cart retrieval from the parking area.
• Follow all corporate policies and procedures, with a strong focus on Health & Safety, Food Safety, and proper equipment use.
• Support the team with additional duties on a periodic basis.

• Thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on setting that involves multiple deadlines, extended periods of standing, heavy lifting, repetitive movement or tasks, and work that may be performed in cooler, freezer, and outdoor conditions.
• Flexibility to work a dynamic schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Fluency in English; French language skills considered an asset.
