Responsibilities include:

• Processing customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at checkouts.
• Understanding the Point of Sale (POS) system and handling various tenders such as Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, Rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons, and checkout procedures per company policy.
• Adhering to company policies on cash shortages/overages and loss prevention.
• Following guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Reporting pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Managing postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons according to policies.
• Staying current with advertisements and sales.
• Complying with food safety regulations and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions or incidents.
• Performing equipment inspections and reporting repairs.
• Creating a welcoming environment for customers by assisting with questions and product information.
• Following all applicable laws and company guidelines.
• Working cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Managing conflicts professionally and with integrity.
• Following directions and seeking help when needed.
• Supporting customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
