Responsibilities include:

• Processing customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
• Understanding and operating the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders, and managing loyalty offers, coupons, and checkout procedures according to company policy.
• Adhering to company policies on cash shortages/overages and restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Reporting pricing discrepancies and following policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Staying current with ads and promotions.
• Following food safety regulations and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions, and practicing preventive maintenance.
• Creating a welcoming environment for customers and assisting with product questions.
• Complying with all laws, regulations, and company guidelines.
• Working cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment, managing conflict calmly, and acting with honesty and integrity.
• Following directions, seeking assistance when needed, and supporting customers with special needs, minors, and older adults.
