Cashier

The smiling face at the register is our cashier, the Nandoca that guides the Nando’s experience at the register. The cashier accurately manages cash and credit card transactions and balances the register at the end of the shift. The cashier is a menu expert and guides customer selection, entering information accurately into the register. Our cashiers are quick and efficient while warm and gracious guides to our restaurants. Cashiers work with our team to exceed our guests’ expectations and to provide them with the Nando’s experience.

Minimum Requirements and Expectations

• Ability to take direction and to work in a team environment
• Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
• Commitment to quality service, and food and beverage knowledge
• Knowledge and comprehension of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
• Basic English language and professional communication skills are required

Physical Requirements

• Able to independently lift up to 15 lbs for an extended period
• Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs with food items and dishes throughout your shift
• Must be able to walk and/or stand for 8‑10 hours per day
• Hand‑eye coordination
• Reaching, bending, twisting, stooping
• Pushing and pulling
• Lifting overhead
• Must be able to climb stairs in restaurants that have multiple levels
