A leading company is seeking a Head Cashier in Albuquerque. This role is crucial for providing fast and friendly service while supervising cashiers and ensuring smooth operations at the checkout. Ideal candidates will have at least one year of cashier experience and strong customer service skills.
Position Purpose:
Cashiers play a critical customer service role by providing customers with fast, friendly, accurate, and safe service. They process checkout and/or return transactions, monitor and maintain the Self-Checkout area, and proactively seek product and project knowledge to assist customers and identify selling opportunities. They follow all policies and procedures to minimize shrinkage.
The Head Cashier supports cashiers by expediting price checks, approving Point of Sale transactions, and managing markdowns for mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental. They serve as the first level of escalation for customer issues and assist in supervising, coaching, and training other Front End Associates, including new Cashiers. The preferred qualification for a Head Cashier is at least 1 year of cashier experience.
