Responsibilities include:
- Processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently at check lanes.
- Handling various tenders (Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons, etc.) according to company policy.
- Adhering to cash handling limits and loss prevention procedures.
- Following guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
- Reporting pricing discrepancies and following policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
- Staying current with promotional ads.
- Adhering to food safety regulations and safety procedures.
- Creating a welcoming environment for customers and assisting with product questions.
- Complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Working cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
- Managing conflicts professionally and acting with honesty and integrity.
- Following directions and seeking assistance when needed.
- Supporting and assisting minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
