CoStar Group, Inc. is seeking a Cash Receipts Specialist in Richmond, VA to manage accounts receivable, reconcile accounts, and report to the Manager, Cash Application. The role requires handling high volumes of cash receipts, preparing batches for the general ledger, and resolving payment inquiries.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, strong Excel skills, and basic accounting knowledge. Experience with Navision or Oracle Cloud is preferred; a detail-oriented mindset is essential

Role Description

As a CoStar Cash Receipts Specialist you will be responsible for all accounts receivable, research and reconciliation of accounts and will report directly to the Manager, Cash Application.

Responsibilities:

• Processes and enters high volume of daily cash receipts to credit or debit customer accounts.
• Prepare batches to be posted to the general ledger.
• Assist customers and other internal stakeholders with questions and concerns regarding incoming payments, refunds, charge backs, or other inquiries.
• Produce monthly account reconciliations.
• Communicate with various banks and clients to ensure all payments are applied correctly.
• Investigate and resolve unallocated cash receipts.
• Perform basic office duties, such as copying and filing.
• Partner with colleagues in Shared Services, Technology, and Sales teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Drive communication and change in a world-class organization.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited, not-for-profit, in-person University or College required
• A track record of commitment to prior employers.
• Basic knowledge of accounting
• Detail oriented
• Experience and demonstrated proficiency with Excel that includes the ability to manipulate data, filter and develop basic formulas.
• All qualified candidates will be given an assessment to determine their knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ years of cash application, accounting receivable, billing, or related finance experience in a large and dynamic corporate environment
• Prior knowledge of Navision (Microsoft Accounting Software)
• Prior knowledge of Oracle Cloud

Pay Transparency

The final salary or hourly rate offered for this role will fall within the range set forth below based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies. Base Compensation: $25.00-$31.00 Hourly #CoStar #LI-MW2
