Job summary

CoStar Group is seeking a Manager, Accounts Receivable in Richmond, VA to lead the AR function in a busy, in-office setting, Monday – Friday. The role focuses on resolving client disputes, improving cash flow, and ensuring accurate reporting.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's in accounting/finance, 6+ years in AR or finance operations, prior people management, and strong Excel skills. Experience with Fortune 300 customers and Oracle Cloud ERP is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience within consumer and/or commercial Accounts Receivable, finance operations, finance contact center or other call center operations.
• Previous people management experience.
• Experience managing/administrating Fortune 3,000 level customers.
• Leadership and management skills, including prioritizing and coaching.
• Excel proficiency with data manipulation and basic formulas.

Responsibilities

• Manage an outbound call center which engages with clients who have disputes on their invoices.
• Maintain accounts receivable aging within agreed and accepted parameters.
• Manage the performance of the AR call center Specialists.
• Train and mentor Accounts Receivable Specialists on performance optimization and customer interactions.
• Provide regular feedback to AR Specialists on performance and client interactions, including auditing client calls.
• Review client accounts to assess collectability and head off problem accounts.
• Assist other departments with Accounts Receivable activities.
• Lead special projects as required by senior management.
• Analyze and improve outbound AR call center processes.

Role Overview

Manager, Accounts Receivable Richmond, VA | In office, Monday – Friday

At CoStar Group, our finance group centralizes transaction processes, providing accurate reporting, financial resolutions, and proper forecasting analysis. Joining the team offers access to financial specializations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash and asset management, client contracts and billing, and revenue recognition. CoStar Group is continuing to grow and needs an energetic, organized, operations manager to join our accounts receivable team as Manager, Accounts Receivable in our Richmond, VA office. The Manager, Accounts Receivable will be responsible for providing a customer friendly resolution to client disputes causing payment delays while driving receivable performance by analyzing and improving the capacity and managing the workflow and analytics reporting in a high-volume transactional portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Train and mentor Accounts Receivable Specialists on performance optimization, customer interaction, product knowledge, and customer service.
• Provide regular feedback to the Accounts Receivable Specialists on their performance and client interactions, to include auditing client calls.
• Review client accounts on an ongoing basis to assess collectability of receivables and to head off potential problem accounts.
• Assist other departments (sales, legal, general accounting) with Accounts Receivable activities.
• Lead special projects as required by senior management.
• Analyze and improve the outbound call center processes around Accounts Receivables.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited, not-for-profit, in-person University or College. Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
• A track record of commitment to prior employers.
• 6+ years of experience within consumer and/or commercial Accounts Receivable, finance operations, finance contact center or other call center operations.
• Previous people management experience.
• Experience managing/administrating Fortune 3,000 level customers.
• Leadership and management skills, including the ability to prioritize and control workload of a team, coaching, and mentoring on professional development.
• Creative problem solving, attention to detail, objectivity and the ability to think strategically.
• Experience and demonstrated proficiency with Excel that includes the ability to manipulate data, filter and develop basic formulas.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related.
• Oracle systems (ideally Cloud) Accounts Receivable systems experience.
• Ability to articulate and execute corporate strategy, well-communicated with the ability to influence.
• Be goal-oriented and manage multiple responsibilities, adjust to changing priorities, and excel in a fast-paced environment.

The final salary or hourly rate offered for this role will fall within the range set forth below based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies.

Base Compensation: $85,000.00 - $115,000.00 Annual
