Cincinnati Children's is hiring a Finance Representative I for Cash Posting / Refunds. This entry-level role will support accurate financial operations, posting and balancing payments, and collaborating with patient accounts and revenue cycle teams. Training will occur with a hybrid schedule after onboarding.

The position emphasizes attention to detail, learning payer concepts, and timely, accurate processing of payments. No prior related experience is required and Excel knowledge is beneficial.

• Willingness to learn payer, insurance, and account concepts.

Responsabilités

$17.80 - $21.51 *Starting pay is based on experience, skills, and equity; exceptions may apply for highly qualified candidates. Additional pay (e.g., shift, on‑call, or weekend differentials) and benefits may apply. Annual pay may vary based on FTE status.

Finance Representative I - Cash Posting / Refunds

Support accurate, timely financial operations that help patient accounts move forward. In this entry-level role, you will work with payment and account information, follow defined procedures, investigate exceptions, and collaboratewith teams across CincinnatiChildren's.

What You Will Do

• Process, post, and balance payments to accounts accurately, timely, and in the correct period.
• Reviewaccount and payment information, follow up on billing items, applyappropriate adjustments, andupdateaccounts asneeded.
• For refund‑focusedwork, review creditwork queues and investigate whether credits should be returned to an insureror family.
• For cash posting work,supportelectronicpayment posting and researchtransactions that require additional problem solving.
• Maintain accurateinformationin departmentalsystemsandcollaboratewithrelatedrevenue cycle and financial teams.
• Completequality checks and follow established procedures and deadlines.

Job Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0+yearsofrelatedworkexperience;nodirectlyrelatedexperienceisrequired.

Preferred Qualifications

• Helpfulexperience includeshospital or medical revenue cycle work.
• Exposureto patient registration may be relevant when it includes meaningful insurance knowledge and account research.
• Banking, cash application, payment processing, accounts receivable, or reconciliation experience may translate well.
• ExperienceusingExceland workingwithdetailed financial or account information.

Work Environment

Hybrid schedule after training, with four remote days and one office day each week.

Initialtraining is conducted in person and maylastup to two to threemonths depending on learning progress.
