Job description

The Sr Financial Analyst is a financial accounting generalist position that requires extensive experience in various aspects of finance and accounting related to healthcare operations and financial management. The role involves conducting large-scale analyses on internal controls and financial processes, serving as a data interface between Finance/IT and operational departments, and possessing a thorough understanding of processes and systems across these areas.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Business Process Planning: Develop and assess business processes related to Patient Financial Services and Back-Office Accounting, including documentation, control reviews, and compliance with ARMICS.
  2. Process Development & Communication: Serve as a resource for process development, ensuring clear communication, and preparing for implementation within relevant departments and systems.
  3. Decision Support & Data Management: Utilize Hyperion and PeopleSoft for data analysis, reporting, and communicating data limitations and strengths to stakeholders.
  4. Reporting & Analytics: Create and tailor reports, analyze processes for improvements, and support financial performance evaluations.
  5. Budgeting & Capital Planning: Assist in developing operating and capital budgets, analyze lease vs. purchase scenarios, and coordinate with asset management.
  6. Performance & Variance Analysis: Review financial reports, perform account reconciliations, analyze variances, and develop year-end projections.
  7. Staffing & Cost Analysis: Assess staffing levels, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure accuracy in revenue and expense recognition.
  8. Interface & External Vendor Management: Manage interfaces with external accounts receivable vendors and support financial needs for related departments.
Minimum Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience: 7 years relevant experience
  • Licensure: CPA preferred
Physical Demands

This is primarily a sedentary role involving extensive computer use. Some travel may be required for meetings and programs.
