Position Overview

Reporting to the Cash Supervisor, you will follow a strict set of defined rules and regulations to receive, payout, and process currency in a high-volume production environment. While cash handling experience is beneficial, it is not required; consideration will also be given to individuals with warehouse or manufacturing experience. The Cash Operation Assistant will support the destruction and distribution of currency according to established guidelines.

Shift Details

This position is for the 2nd shift: Monday-Thursday, arrival at 5:45 PM for a 6:00 PM start, until approximately 5:00 AM, with the Thursday shift ending Friday morning. Flexibility for overtime and shift adjustments is required. Initial training will also be conducted on 2nd shift.

Responsibilities
  1. Perform currency verification, including preparing currency for processing, verifying currency, operating processing equipment, reconciling notes, and preparing documentation.
  2. Meet production standards and quality measures within specified time frames.
  3. Accept and verify deposits from armored carriers, inspect bags for integrity, verify contents, weigh bags, identify discrepancies, and manage returns.
  4. Perform physical inventories, establish accountability, and prepare financial settlements daily.
  5. Support currency destruction processes and assist with other cash operations as needed.
  6. Manage inventory transfers, maintain custody of valuables, perform transactions, and ensure security protocols are followed.
  7. Monitor deposit quality issues and recommend improvements.
  8. Set vault clocks, open/close vaults, and adhere to safety practices.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; relevant work experience is acceptable.
  • Minimum one year of related work experience.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other equipment may be required.
  • Physical ability to lift 5-50 lbs., push/pull heavy trucks, and work standing for long periods.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts.
