Job summary

SpartanNash, operating the Family Fare banner in Delton, Michigan, is seeking a part-time Store Cashier to perform cash office duties and support front-end operations. Qualifications

• Suggestive Selling/Knowledge of Products.

• Basic computer skills (email, spreadsheets, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Observe confidentiality of all company records and safeguard information.
• Support front-end activities to help ensure cashiers follow store policies when handling transactions.
• Follow policies pertaining to the sale of alcoholic beverages, tobacco, etc.
• Operate cash register, display cost of customer purchase, make change, cash checks, and issue receipts.
• Balance cash and media to ledger and ensure cash is controlled.
• Implement related security and cash drawer procedures.
• Keep management informed of problems with pricing, cash registers, scales, or other cash office issues.
• Maintain records on cash controls for internal audits.
• Follow PPE and Safety Guidelines.
• Follow Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations.
• Follow Guest Experience Guidelines.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience need.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed
