Meijer Inc. is seeking a Cashier to join our Wisconsin store team. You will be the last touchpoint for customers at checkout, ensuring fast, friendly, and accurate service using Meijer systems.

Daily duties include handling cash, balancing tills, and processing transactions while upholding cash-handling policies and confidentiality. Prior retail experience is helpful but not required, and we value reliable, detail-oriented team players.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Retail or customer service experience is helpful but not required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods.
• Strong numerical accuracy and adherence to cash-handling policies.

Responsibilities

Working primarily behind the scenes, this role is responsible for counting and reconciling cashier tills, self-checkout drawers, and service desk funds while auditing register activity for overages and shortages. Daily duties include preparing consolidated bank deposits, coordinating secure armored car pickups, maintaining sufficient coin and bill inventory for front-end registers, and generating end-of-day sales reports.
