World Relief seeks a Cash & Medical Assistance Program Specialist to provide critical services and counsel to refugees and other eligible persons as they search for initial employment or seek career advancement and job upgrade opportunities. This position assists refugees and other eligible persons to become economically self-sufficient by preparing them for employment, utilizing employer contacts to place them in jobs, counseling on job upgrades and career pathway opportunities, and maintaining and expanding an employer network. This role is based out of the Austin office

This position is reliant upon funding and may be subject to modification or termination based on resource availability.

POSITION SUMMARY:

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct intake, assessment, and enrollment of clients into Refugee Cash Assistance
Ensure monthly compliance of program participants, and distribute checks
Verify continued eligibility of enrolled clients through monthly income verifications
Coordinate with staff of other WR programs for RCA enrollment of eligible clients
Reconcile monthly RCA payment with finance staff and database
Administering monthly cash assistance payments and tracking expenses
Refer RCA clients to Social Adjustment Services, and other World Relief programs as appropriate
Ensure case files and reports are maintained in accordance with grant requirements and maintain communication with the Texas Office for Refugees (TXOR)
Other duties as requested

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Mature and personal Christian faith
Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief
Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Evangelicals For the Health of The Nation document
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple demands and deadlines with flexibility
Ability to maintain records and reports
Detail-oriented and organized
Demonstrates initiative, flexibility, and responsibility
Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing
Effectively manage stressful or crisis situations
Ability to speak an additional language would be beneficial, but is not required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Fluency in an additional language such as Spanish, French, Arabic, Swahili, Lingala, Farsi, Dari, and Pashto is preferred
