Job summary

South Texas College is seeking an Accounting Group Supervisor for Cash Management & Reporting in the Business Office. The role oversees daily cash operations, investments, month- and year-end close, and internal controls, aligning financial reporting with college objectives and regulatory requirements.

You will lead a team of accounting staff, coordinate audits, develop closing calendars, and drive process improvements across cash management and general ledger activities, with responsibilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required; Master preferred.
• At least four years of accounting experience.
• Experience with Workday ERP and financial reporting preferred.
• Experience in higher education and supervisory roles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily cash management and cash flow forecasting.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes and journal entries.
• Develop closing calendars, workflows, and communication protocols.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ACFR preparation.
• Supervise, train, and mentor cash management staff and analysts.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and strengthen internal controls.
