Job summary

Newrez in Coppell, TX is hiring a Cash Control Specialist I for an on-site role. You will perform cash processing tasks in a fast-paced environment, including posting payments, payoffs, and reapplications.

Key duties include handling mail to the Cash room, daily ACH reconciliation, and processing loan level disbursements and reversals. Requires a high school diploma and 1+ year in banking or lending, with MSP experience preferred.

  • 1+ years banking, accounts payable/receivable, or lending experience preferred.
  • Experience with mortgage servicing systems (MSP) is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • General cash processing duties in a fast-paced environment, including posting payments, payoffs, refunds, reversals, and reapplications.
  • Handle incoming mail to the Cash room and process various transactions.
  • Daily ACH reconciliation and processing of loan level disbursements and voids.
  • Overtime may be required as dictated by business needs.

Daily tasks may include posting payments, processing payoffs, liquidations, processing returned payments, loan level disbursements, working with ACH, and other various tasks and/or duties as assigned.Principal Duties* General payment processing responsibilities in a fast-paced environment, where multi-tasking is key to ongoing success.* Handles incoming mail delivered to the Cash room.* Process a variety of transactions, including but not limited to, payoffs, payments, refunds, reversals, and reapplication, and returned payments.* Liquidation processing including third party sales, short sales, etc.* Daily reconciliation of Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments.* Processing loan level disbursements voids.* Performs related duties as assigned by management.Education and Experience Requirements* High school diploma or equivalent, required.* 1+ years of previous Banking, Accounts Payable, or Accounts Receivable experience.* 1+ years of experience in a lending environment is desired.* Experience with MSP or similar mortgage servicing systems is desired.Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements* Current, working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.* Ability to accurately 10-key by touch with at least 10,000 KPH.* Available to work over-time as requested and required by business need and communicated by your manager.* Lifting up to 25 pounds may be required.Additional Information:While this description is intended to be an accurate reflection of the position’s requirements, it in no way implies/states that these are the only job responsibilities.
