Job summary

Southcoast Health is seeking a Cash Applications Clerk in Fairhaven, MA to support the Patient Accounts team with daily payments posting and reconciliations. The position reports to the Manager and Team Leader of the Cash Applications Department and requires attention to detail and reliable processing of payments.

Responsibilities

• Post payments and reconcile accounts in the cash applications process.
• Handle adjustments, denials and payment scans in Epic/Systoc system.
• Prepare bank deposits and upload files to OnBase Imaging System.
• Sort mail and correspondence and run reports for audits.
• Maintain accurate work queues and assist team leaders as needed.

We are searching for a talented Cash Applications Clerk

Hours: 40hrs

Shift: Day shift; 7:00am - 3:30pm

Location: Southcoast Business Center - Fairhaven, MA

Position reports to the Manager and Team Leader of the Patient Accounts Cash Applications Department. Perform various duties in support of the Patient Accounts department for multiple Service Areas. Duties may include and are not limited to posting payments, reconciling, adjustments, denials and scanning for any type of payments in Epic/Systoc, preparation of bank deposits, uploading files in the OnBase Imaging System, sorting mail/correspondence, working on Audits, work queues and running reports.

• Completion of four years of high school with additional specialized courses in basic accounting practices preferred with knowledge of software applications.
• Over one year of related work experience is required.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
• Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
