Catholic Charities of Onondaga County in Syracuse, NY seeks a full-time Case Worker to support clients facing housing, financial, and personal challenges. You will conduct comprehensive interviews, provide counseling, and help families access community resources.

The role includes case management, reporting, and coordination with funders, with a focus on safety and empowering clients to improve their lives. 35 hours per week, $22/hour, benefits and professional development.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Human Service or equivalent; a combination of education and experience can be considered.
• At least three years of experience working with vulnerable individuals.
• Candidates with lived experience are preferred and encouraged to apply.

Responsabilités

• Conduct comprehensive interviews with individuals facing personal and family adjustments, financial struggles, employment issues, or housing concerns to assess needs.
• Offer individual or group counseling and help clients develop plans to address needs using internal and community resources.
• Meet with clients as required by funding sources, monitor progress, and modify attitudes or behaviors for positive change.
• Coordinate with community resources and organizations to build a support network; complete reporting forms and maintain client case files.
• Ensure client safety and promptly notify supervisors or funding sources of any safety issues.
