Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, a RTX business, is seeking a Scrum Master to lead an Agile team in US-FL West Palm Beach. You will manage CIPT tasks, coordinate with stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring on-time delivery and budget alignment.

Qualifications include a BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 3+ years of experience (or advanced degree with 5+ years), US citizenship for security clearance, and proficiency with MS Office, Jira, SAP, Teamcenter, MS Project, and Agile

Responsibilities

  • Lead an Agile Scrum team to meet task and technical requirements; mentor and coordinate with CIPT and stakeholders.
  • Communicate status and technical content to CIPT and manage budget/schedule as a Control Account Manager.
  • Integrate part-level sourcing with procurement, industrial, and manufacturing teams; coordinate model-based product definition.
  • Lead risk assessments and continuous improvement initiatives; travel up to 10%.

What You Will Do
  • Manage an Agile Scrum team as Scrum Master to meet task and technical requirements; work closely with team members and authorities on part development and recommend product improvements and identify and address project problems, analyze data gathered, develop solutions and recommendations to solve problems, meet deadlines and optimize performance, with the technical mentoring of an experienced part family council member in the CIPT.
  • Communicate status and technical content to CIPT.
  • Perform Control Account Manager duties for task: Track progress, identify and resolve obstacles to minimize disruption to project budget and schedules to ensure smooth project operations.
  • Integrate and manage part-level sourcing activities with procurement, industrial, and manufacturing team members and the internal/external supply chain.
  • Also coordinate timely creation/release of model-based product definition.
  • Lead risk assessments and risk mitigation planning as well as actively participate in initiatives for continuous improvement.
  • Travel up to 10%.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent with 3+ years of relevant experience OR equivalent OR Advanced Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent with 5+ years of experience.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Demonstrated strong team and strategic leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated exceptional customer focus.
  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal, technical writing, and engineering presentations to all levels of management.
  • Aerospace/jet engine industry experience, previous gas turbine compressor experience and design development experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience with gas turbine engine rotating hardware.
  • Experience in a team leader role or similar task leadership position.
  • Working proficiency with MS Office, Teamcenter, MS Project.
  • Experience in Agile Project Management, including Scrum and Kanban.
  • Experience working with Jira software package.
  • Thorough understanding of continuous improvement principles (e.g. Customer Oriented Results and Excellence (CORE), Quality Control Process Charts (QCPC)).
  • Proficiency in use of program/project management tools (e.g. Systems Applications and Products (SAP), Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Teamcenter).
  • Demonstration of skills consistent with the Pratt & Whitney Leadership Operating Model.
What We Offer

Relocation Eligibility.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.

Work Location & Schedule

Location: US-FL-WEST PALM BEACH-777-CUST ~ 777 S Flagler ~ FLAGLER.

Role type: Onsite. Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines. Option of 5 day/ 40 hour weekly schedule or 9 day/ 80 hour two-week schedule depending on business needs. Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility. As part of our commitment to maintaining a secure hiring process, candidates may be asked to attend select steps of the interview process in-person at one of our office locations, regardless of whether the role is designated as on-site, hybrid or remote.
