Position Summary

Supports the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of HIV testing sites across emergency departments and community-based clinical settings. This role assists with recruiting new testing sites, implementing standardized testing and data protocols, and training clinical and non‑clinical staff. Helps ensure quality assurance processes are followed, supports accurate data collection and reporting, and facilitates timely linkage to care.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
  • Conducts a comprehensive sensitive assessment with the client and family/support network as appropriate, in order to develop a plan of care to meet identified needs.
  • Arranges and coordinates service referrals for the client/family as needed; provides ongoing monitoring of the activities implemented to carry out the plan of care.
  • Refers clients/families to public benefits programs as eligible.
  • Provides regular contact with enrolled clients and documents all contacts and service coordination activities in client records as required by program guidelines.
  • Educates clients/families about the basic medical and psychosocial aspects of disease in order to optimize adherence to care.
  • Provides proactive follow up, tracking symptoms and treatment responses.
  • Adheres to all applicable state laws and the department’s rules and regulations regarding programs.
  • Stays abreast of new resources, programs and developments.
  • Participates in continuous training and education, including attendance at staff meeting and community meetings as assigned.
  • Assists with tracking milestones, maintaining project timelines, and coordinating contributions within and across teams.
  • Contributes to program/project evaluation by maintaining tracking tools, compiling data, and assisting with report preparation and dissemination.
  • Ensures all testing data is documented appropriately.
  • Collaborates with internal program staff, data teams, and leadership to support continuous quality improvement efforts.
  • Maintains regular communication with site partners to address challenges, share updates, and reinforce best practices.
  • Assists with data collection, entry, and basic analysis to support program monitoring and evaluation.
  • Performs duties as assigned.
Working Conditions

Job Location: Normal office environment. Patient care setting. Physical Effort: Typically sitting at desk or table, repetitive wrist, hand or finger movement, occasional lifting (25 lbs or less). Equipment: Office equipment.

Required Qualifications
  • Education: Master's degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education.
  • Certification: Basic Life Support - American Heart Association, Basic Life Support - American Red Cross. Basic Life Support certification must be obtained within one month of hire date. Online BLS certifications without a skills assessment component are not sufficient.
  • Driver’s License: Not required.
