Location: NP IL – Chicago, IL 60612
Position Type: Contractor
Salary Range: $19.00 - $24.00 hourly

Responsibilities
  • Maintain assigned caseload of weekly billable insurance hours.
  • Ensure services are provided in the community.
  • Participate in the person-centered planning process.
  • Provide direct community-based behavioral health services and support for the individual and family as indicated in the Person-Centered Plan.
  • Monitor and track consumer hours and annual intake dates and complete assigned.
  • Assist the Case Manager in monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of interventions as evidenced by symptom reduction and progress toward goals.
  • Complete OnTarget tasks assigned within 24 hours.
  • Assist the Case Manager with consulting identified non-medical providers, engaging in community and natural supports, and including their input in the person-centered planning process.
  • Keep all information obtained while at Carolina Therapeutic Services confidential and ensure it remains confidential beyond employment.
  • Report critical concerns, problems, and lack of engagement to the supervisor in a timely manner and actively seek the supervisor’s input and assistance to resolve the concern.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary staffing and meetings.
  • Attend all appropriate in-services, workshops, or continuing education programs provided by CTS Health or on behalf of CTS.
  • Complete appropriate annual intakes.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality according to all Federal and State guidelines and requirements.
  • Exemplify personal and professional conduct.
  • Uphold the Professional Code of Ethics.
  • Maintain a cooperative relationship with employees, treatment staff, and others.
  • Adhere to and support facility policies, programs, and activities.
  • Demonstrate tact, courtesy, and a positive approach to communication and interaction with other employees, visitors, physicians, etc.
  • Ensure personal development to maintain current knowledge in the profession.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and drug-free environment in the office space utilized.
  • Willingness to work beyond what is required periodically.
  • Maintain service notation that meets agency notation standards, Medicaid standards, and any other auditing agency such as the LME. The notation must include purpose of contact, description of provider interventions, effectiveness of the intervention, time spent performing the intervention, and signature (degree/credentials or position) of the person providing service.
  • Maintain flexibility to respond to client needs and crisis situations beyond the agency’s normal working hours.
  • Deliver services in various environments, such as homes, schools, jails (for state funds only), homeless shelters, etc.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as specified by a supervisor.
Qualifications
  • One-year documented experience in the delivery of mental health treatment to children and/or adolescents.
  • High School diploma (additional 5 years of mental health experience preferred).
  • Human services field experience with less than one year of full-time, post‑graduate degree accumulated MH/DD/SA experience with the population served, or a substance abuse professional with less than one year of full-time, post‑graduate degree accumulated supervised experience in alcoholism and drug abuse counseling. Supervision shall be provided by a qualified professional with the population served until the individual meets one year of experience.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to be self-directed and motivated, and to securely manage confidential information.
  • Inquisitive and creative problem-solver; ability to design and maintain systems around staff members’ needs as well as operational requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate effectively and respectfully with consumers with varying beliefs, behaviors, orientations, identities, and cultural backgrounds.
  • Experience across multiple languages and cultures, particularly with refugees or immigrant populations with diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Experience in information technology, data analytics, grant writing and development of new behavioral health services. Preferred experience using Paylocity, Vairkko, and/or Ontarget.
  • Exhibits friendly, calm, and professional demeanor for in-person and virtual interactions with staff, consumers, stakeholders, partners, etc.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 products, SharePoint, and Google Docs.
