Description

In-House Registry Hours (PRN/as needed): The position provides coverage in the following departments and locations:

• Addiction inpatient, addiction outpatient (PHP/IOP)
• Adult Mental Health (PHP/IOP – Winfield and St. Charles)
• Adolescent PHP/IOP (St. Charles and Danada)

This position is not eligible for benefits.

The Case Therapist IHR - License Pending role reflects NM's mission, values, and standards, adhering to the Code of Ethics, Compliance Program, and all relevant policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates NM Values (Patients First, Integrity, Teamwork, Excellence) in daily work and interactions.
• Provides accurate information and timely updates to patients and customers.
• Addresses questions and concerns promptly, or directs to appropriate resources.
• Uses effective service recovery skills to resolve issues.
• Collaborates effectively with team members across departments.
• Documents in patient records accurately and timely.
• Facilitates individual, group, and family counseling as assigned.
• Develops therapeutic interventions based on DSM diagnoses and clinical input.
• Establishes rapport with patients and their support systems to encourage trust and recovery.
• Participates in discharge planning and coordinates care with multidisciplinary teams.
• Handles crisis situations and provides support for trauma, sudden deaths, and abuse cases.
• Communicates effectively with team members, respecting confidentiality and professionalism.
• Completes evaluations and assessments, and justifies levels of care.
• Participates in staff meetings, training, and professional development.

Qualifications

Required:

• Experience with substance abuse and mental health populations.
• Masters degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field.
• Must obtain LPC, LSW, LCPC, or LCSW within 12 months of hire.
• Proficiency with computer systems and electronic medical records.

Preferred:

• 2-5 years in treatment or mental health settings.
• CADC certification and experience.
• Presentation skills for educational purposes.
