Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university.
  • Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements and level (Special Education and General Education).
  • Valid Texas driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Develop instructional plans and routines to teach students on campus and in community settings.
  • Implement and monitor IEPs, documenting student progress.
  • Communicate regularly with parents to review student progress.
  • Organize community trips aligned with IEPs.
  • Develop toilet training, diapering, and clean‑up procedures as needed.
  • Follow feeding instructions and support related services.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student and parent information.
  • Support paraprofessionals and ensure CPR/NCI training.
  • Participate in professional development for students on alternate curriculum.
  • Serve as Case Manager for ARD/IEP/ SBIEP, ensuring fidelity across settings.
