Job summary

Soar Autism Center in Gilbert, AZ is seeking a Case Supervisor Practicum Student to gain supervised BCBA-ready experience. This full-time hourly role offers structured supervision, hands-on clinical exposure, and advancement paths within our Apex Program.

You will work on client cases, accrue paid hours, and receive coaching while developing skills in ESDM, family guidance, assessments, and behavior intervention planning. Growth into a Lead Case Supervisor is possible near testing date.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in or recently completed a Master’s program in ABA or related BCBA coursework.
• Second semester of master’s or certificate program.
• Actively accruing practicum hours toward BCBA certification.
• Ability to build rapport with children and families.
• Emerging skills in case conceptualization, client programming, and clinical planning.
• Emerging skills in coaching and supporting RBTs.
• Strong desire to learn, grow, and receive feedback.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a case supervisor for client cases as directed by center needs.
• Accrue paid unrestricted hours through client programming and supervision.
• Update client goals and programming using Soar’s data platform.
• Provide support and supervision to RBTs with feedback from BCBAs.
• Participate in ESDM trainings to grow clinical skills.
• Develop Behavior Intervention Plans using PRA and Skill-Based Treatment.
• Support family treatment guidance meetings using Soar’s curriculum.
• Assist with assessments/reassessments including Vineland, QABF, FAST.
• Receive coaching from Local Clinical Trainer and other BCBAs.
• Collaborate with Speech-Language Pathologists, OTs, psychologists and others.
• Provide direct client therapy as part of your full-time role.

This exciting opportunity is designed for individuals who are actively completing coursework to become a BCBA and are accruing practicum hours. Struggling to get opportunities that count toward your unrestricted hours? Looking for a role where you can get paid while building the clinical skills needed to become a BCBA? This role is for you.

The Case Supervisor role is intended to help you develop the foundational skills needed to become a successful BCBA, while receiving structured supervision, coaching, and hands‑on clinical experience. This role reports to the Local Clinical Trainer, who is a BCBA, at your assigned clinic.

This role is part of Soar’s Apex Program, our enhanced development pathway for future BCBAs. Apex is designed to elevate how we develop and support Case Supervisors as they build clinical readiness, accrue practicum hours, and pursue a long‑term career as a BCBA.

The Case Supervisor role is designed for practicum students who are earlier in their BCBA journey and are generally more than 6–9 months away from completing requirements to become a BCBA. In this Apex Program, you will receive enhanced development, ongoing supervision, clinical training, and opportunities to build community with other Case Supervisors across Soar. This role has the opportunity for promotion to Lead Case Supervisor when you are within 6 months of testing!

Highlights of the Role

Base pay: $25.50 - $30.00/hour.The initial offer hourly pay will be between $25.50 - $26.75.

Serve as a case supervisor for 1-3 client cases (10 paid unrestricted hours/week), learning and practicing the key skills to become a high‑quality BCBA. This is a full‑time hourly, position.

Receive dedicated supervision, training, and feedback from your Local Clinical Trainer and other BCBAs in your center

Participate in Apex learning and development opportunities

Build clinical skills through exposure to ESDM, interdisciplinary care, family guidance, assessment, and behavior intervention planning

Job Responsibilities

• Serve as a case supervisor for client cases, with scope determined by center needs, clinical readiness, and program progress


• Accrue paid unrestricted hours through client programming, supervision, family guidance, assessment, and other BCBA-aligned responsibilities


• Update client goals and programming using Soar’s electronic data collection platform


• Provide support and supervision to RBTs, with coaching and feedback from BCBAs


• Participate in ESDM-specific trainings to grow your clinical skillset


• Learn to develop Behavior Intervention Plans using approaches such as Practical Functional Assessment and Skill-Based Treatment


• Support family treatment guidance meetings using Soar’s in‑house curriculum


• Assist with assessments and reassessments for clients, including exposure to tools such as the Vineland, QABF, FAST, and ESDM Curriculum Checklist


• Receive coaching and feedback from your Local Clinical Trainer, Partner Clinician, and other BCBAs in your clinic


• Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration with Speech‑Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, and other members of the integrated care team


• Provide direct client therapy as part of your full‑time role, with the weekly mix of direct therapy and unrestricted activities determined by center needs and program progress
