Job summary

DrinkPAK is seeking a Case Packing Specialist to own and optimize our packing operations across multiple sites. You will act as the technical expert for case packing equipment, lead troubleshooting, and standardize procedures to minimize downtime and waste.

The role requires 5+ years with packers and related processes, strong cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to travel up to 75% to DrinkPAK facilities, driving improvements and training teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate degree preferred in manufacturing, manufacturing technology, mechatronics, industrial manufacturing, manufacturing automation, or other similar manufacturing-related specialization.
• Minimum of 5+ years of working on packers, troubleshooting, creating standard operating procedures, and training others.
• Experience in high-speed manufacturing, bottling, beverage, packaging, or canning industries preferred.
• Demonstrates adaptability by communicating across multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical expert on all aspects of case packing processes and equipment with an emphasis on tray packing.
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting support for packing-related issues to reduce downtime and product waste.
• Define, document, and standardize packing procedures and specifications across all applicable lines.
• Collaborate with Quality to ensure pack integrity meets all quality requirements.
• Analyze pack teardown results and maintain regular reports for quality tracking and audits.
• Lead and train maintenance and production teams on proper packer setup, operation, conversion, and maintenance of equipment.
• Work with OEMs and engineering teams for upgrades, commissioning, and validation of new packers or modifications.
• Lead rebuild activities on packers across DrinkPAK to ensure proper rebuild activities are being performed and delivering a vertical startup post rebuild.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for packer-related issues.
• Drive continuous improvement projects focused on pack quality, equipment reliability, and productivity.
• Stay current on industry best practices and emerging technologies in packing.
• Travel will be required to routinely visit all DrinkPAK facilities and ensure best practices are implemented network-wide; 75% travel
