Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking an operator to run case-packing machines in our Albuquerque facility. You will perform quality checks, maintain the case-packers, inspect finished products before packaging, and address any alarms promptly.

The role emphasizes safe working conditions and strict adherence to GMP, health, and sanitation standards. The position requires a high school diploma (preferred) and may involve certification depending on the assignment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate case-packers and perform quality checks as required.
• Maintain and clean the case packer and surrounding equipment per guidelines.
• Inspect finished product before being cased.
• React and resolve alarm issues related to the case packer.
• Report food safety and quality issues to management immediately.
• Maintain safe working conditions and comply with health and safety regulations.
• Follow DFA GMPs and corporate regulatory, safety, and sanitation requirements.
• Other duties may be assigned as required.

Overview

GENERAL PURPOSE: Perform operation of case packaging machines according to case pack configurations.

Responsibilities

• Operate case-packers and perform quality checks as required
• Maintain and clean the case packer and surrounding equipment according to guidelines and expectations
• Inspect finished product before being cased
• React and resolve any alarm issues related to the case packer
• Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately
• Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
• Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Production or general work experience preferred
• Certification and/or License - may be required during course of employment
