Job description

Community Solutions, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and passionate Case Manager Supervisor to join our team at our Bridgeport AIC program. The AIC, or Alternative in the Community program, is a community-based alternative to incarceration and provides multifaceted intervention services for offenders awaiting trial, or who are on probation or parole. This position will provide general and supervisory case management duties and will ensure community safety and effective program operation through internal and external monitoring of client activities and program services.

Essential Functions
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities of a case manager, including carrying a caseload as required by program needs (counseling, case record management, intake assessment, discharge preparation, aftercare services, security, resource management, and facility maintenance).
  • Supervise Case Manager staff, relating to both security and case management.
  • Oversee staff response to all shift problems and emergency incidents.
  • Review all client‑related paperwork for content, timeliness, and quality.
  • Review all client files on a monthly basis for organization and content.
  • Monitor client compliance with treatment stipulations and recommend modifications to the program director.
  • Monitor staff performance and provide regular feedback to the program director on all staff.
  • Assist program director in developing, leading, and supervising client group meetings, program services, and counseling sessions.
  • Monitor and evaluate group activities on an ongoing basis.
  • Assist program director in training staff in security procedures, client supervision, client paperwork, and case management duties.
  • Supervise the completion of urine collections, telephone spot checks, and employment and home site visits of clients to verify and document client movement and record information.
  • Monitor shift operation for compliance with agency policy and procedure, applicable standards, and relevant contractual policy.
  • Monitor staff compliance with all policies and procedures pertaining to the safety and security of clients, agency property, and the community.
  • Assist program director in setting agenda and participate in weekly staff meetings.
  • Perform the functions of a human services worker/case manager such as client supervision, custody, searches, facility rounds, counts, and urine surveillance as needed.
  • Perform all duties of program director during periods of his/her absence.
  • Participate in on‑call agency duty officer rotation as assigned.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of and abide by the agency’s programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Schedule: Monday/Wednesday/Friday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm; Tuesday/Thursday 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm.

Salary: $58,656.00 annually.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a social science field and two years’ experience in case management or a similar field (education may be substituted with experience on a year‑for‑year basis).
  • One year of experience in management and supervision of staff or three years of case management experience.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills desired.
  • Ability to engage and develop collaborations with community agencies.
  • Previous assessment experience preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
