Job summary

Lutheran Family and Children's Services Of Missouri (LFCS) is seeking a dedicated professional to coordinate and deliver client-centered care within a compassionate team. The role focuses on case management, counseling, education, and outreach to support families across Missouri.

You will create service plans with clients, provide in-home or virtual counseling, respond to crises, and advocate for safety and stability for children and their families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant human behavior field.
• Licensed driver with access to dependable transportation and auto insurance.
• Preferred two years’ experience in child welfare with children and families.
• Passion for making a difference and supporting families through life’s challenges.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide care to clients that are safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and client-centered.
• Provide case management, pregnancy counseling, parenting and adoption education, community education and outreach, and post-adoption support for birth parents.
• Create a service plan in conjunction with the client to develop goals and objectives that are consistent with what the client wishes to accomplish.
• Counsel, advocate, and teach clients the skills identified in their service plan face to face in home or virtually.
• Respond to client’s crisis situations within program parameters in a timely manner according to program protocols.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or related Human Behavior Science
