Qualifications

Dallas Regional Medical Center is a 202-bed acute care hospital accredited by The Joint Commission, offering a wide range of medical services including 24/7 emergency care, cardiology, wound care, surgical services, cardiac catheterization, and imaging. The hospital is the only Certified Stroke Center, Accredited Chest Pain Center, and Labor and Delivery Unit in the area. It is also the only Trauma Center within 13 miles and the first Accredited Geriatric Emergency Room in Dallas County. Responsibilities

The Case Manager (RN) is responsible for:

  • Managing the quality and resources for all patients admitted to the facility, from admission through the continuum of care.
  • Advocating for patients, promoting cost containment, and demonstrating leadership to integrate healthcare providers for seamless care delivery.
  • Facilitating and ensuring quality, clinical, and cost-effective outcomes through holistic and comprehensive review of medical records for medical necessity, service intensity, and severity of illness.
Qualifications

Education and Work Experience:

  1. Minimum 5 years of post-graduate experience in an accredited nursing program and a current state RN license (starting April 1, 2015).
  2. Grandfathered prior to April 1, 2015: Minimum 5 years post-graduate experience in Social Work for Licensed Clinical Social Worker; RN case management preferred.
  3. Preferred: 5 years of acute care nursing experience, including at least 1 year in case management, discharge planning, or nursing management.
  4. Current BCLS (AHA) certification upon hire, maintained current.
  5. Knowledge of Milliman and InterQual Criteria preferred.
  6. Basic to intermediate computer skills required.
  7. Behavioral Violence Prevention Training within 3 months of hire, maintained current.
