The ideal candidate has a Vocational Nursing license in California, with LVN experience and BLS/IV certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Vocational Nursing.
• Current California Vocational Nurse license required.
• Current I.V. certification preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support card required.
• Adhere to employee health/immunization requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care functions as prescribed by provider following protocols and procedures.
• Assist medical personnel with procedures and diagnostic exams.
• Assess and monitor patients’ conditions and notify provider.
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by provider.
• Maintain equipment and supplies; identify repairs.
• Apply aseptic technique and infection control.
• Document patient information with signature and date.
• May work temporarily at satellite facilities.
• Demonstrate knowledge across age ranges 0–100+ years.
• Facilitate the practice of assigned providers.
