The Employment & Training Administration is currently seeking two full-time Case Manager II professionals to join theirteam - one for the Middletown location and one for Newburgh.
The Case Manager ll is a hybrid position in the Welfare to Work Employment Unit to include casemanagement and job development.
The Case Managerwill plan, coordinate and supervise the activities of individuals enrolled in Welfare to Work programs. Referrals of employable participants are made by the Department of Social Services to meet mandated work requirements.
The essential nature of the position is to assign program participants to employment activities to meet federal participation work requirements. Maintenance of participant records, data entry and case note activities will be entered into and managed in a state database/computer system. Organization and computer experience is required.
Duties also include a supportive role with the Job Readiness Training Program (JRT) team, including job search instruction/workshops and job development, and related activities to meet the goal of job placement.
The position calls for work with clients with multiple barriers to employment including homelessness, justice involved, domestic violence and economically disadvantaged individuals and families. The candidate must be kind, patient, and have strong counseling skills to assess and overcome client barriers to improve responsiveness and compliance with ETA program demands.
The Case Managermust be able to travel between the Career Centers and other sites as needed.
Key responsibilities include:
Education & Experience Required: Bachelor's Degree in a related field; OR Associate's Degree and one (1) year experience working in job training, placement or human service programs; OR three years equivalent work experience. Must be able to travel between the Career Centers and other sites as needed. Strong organizational and computer skills are required.
