Job summary

The Flushing YMCA is seeking a Case Manager to support students in achieving college and career readiness. You will build positive mentor relationships and advocate for youth, helping them meet academic goals. The role includes one-on-one work and leading group activities focused on youth development.

You will contribute to designing and leading training on behavior issues with youth and teens, fostering a supportive program environment and promoting student success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; associate’s degree or relevant experience preferred.
• Two years of experience working with teens and doing case management.
• Experience teaching and facilitating training sessions on youth issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one mentorship and advocacy to students to support academic goals.

Job description

The Flushing YMCA is seeking a Case Manager who will be responsible for increasing student achievement for college and career readiness. They will provide students with a positive mentor relationship of advocacy and support to help them achieve their academic goals. The Case Manager will work one-on-one with students around the concrete needs of youth and lead and run groups. Additionally, they will assist in designing and leading training sessions on behavior issues with youth and teens in the program.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma is required. An associate’s degree or relevant experience is desired.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with teens and doing case management.
• Experience teaching and facilitating training sessions on issues related to youth and teens.
• Must be CPR/First Aid certified and complete the YMCA Mandatory Reporting Training within four (4) months of employment.
