Job summary

Regional Center of the East Bay (RCEB) is seeking motivated Case Managers to oversee the full case management process, from assessment to documentation, for consumers with developmental disabilities. The role involves planning, advocacy, and coordination of services, including IPP/IFSP development and monitoring.

The positions require a relevant degree (BA or Master’s) and strong communication; Spanish is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• BA Degree in Social Work, Psychology or a related human services field and 1 year similar experience; OR BA in an unrelated field plus 4 years of experience working with developmentally disabled.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing.
• Automobile and valid driver’s license required.
• Demonstrate cultural awareness and sensitivity with diverse populations.
• Spanish fluency is highly preferred and qualifies for a $120 bi-weekly salary differential.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate planning and develop IPP/IFSP for assigned consumers and oversee implementation.
• Coordinate and support implementation of the consumer’s plan, including evaluating needs for funding.
• Advocate for consumers to protect rights and ensure access to services.
• Obtain essential diagnosis and evaluation and secure necessary reports.
• Monitor health and safety of consumers and maintain required documentation.
• Implement RCEB policies and complete reviews in a timely manner.
• Keep supervisor informed of caseload status and unmet community needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
