• Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Paralegal in criminal defense.
• Proficiency in both English and Spanish is required.
• Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures related to criminal law.
• Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Bilingual Criminal Defense Paralegal/Case Manager to join our Law Firm.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in criminal law and procedural knowledge, combined with proficiency in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities:

Research:

• Assist in researching case law
• Analyze records, reports, and discovery

Writing/Drafting:

• Draft legal documents, orders, pleadings, motions, and briefs
• Draft witness declarations/affidavits

Administrative:

• Maintain client files regarding hearings, meetings, collections, and tasks for court
• Manage schedules for clients and attorneys
• File documents with courts
• Provide updates to clients
• Review and enforce legal contracts

Case management:

• Assist with case planning, development, and management
• Help organize evidence and exhibits
• Prepare for trials or hearings
• Assist with witness preparation

Communication:

• Interview clients and witnesses
• Liaise with clients, attorneys, courts, prosecutors, and others, which include private investigators, experts, and doctors
• Communicate through phone calls and written corresponds with clients, witnesses, prosecutors, and others to schedule meetings and hearings
