OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drives a Salvation Army van to transport participants.
Performs other related work as required.
MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mental Health from an accredited college or university
And
a minimum of three years’ experience in providing services to mentally ill individuals with complex psychosocial stressors to include chronic homelessness and/or PTSD.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Valid State Driver’s License
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of The Salvation Army mission and ministry.
Knowledge of effective practices and procedures of program management.
Knowledge of Crisis Prevention and Intervention techniques..
Ability to interpret and implement programs to meet goals and objectives.
Ability to work with the homeless population.
Ability to establish and promote relationships with program participants.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with clients as well as service providers.
Ability to plan, coordinate, and implement activities appropriate for program participants.
Ability to plan, organize, and promote program participation.
Ability to prepare and maintain statistical records in an accurate manner.
Ability to prioritize and manage competing demands.
MENTAL AND PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
Ability to administer programs within established budget constraints.
Ability to meet attendance requirements.
Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
Ability to drive a vehicle in heavy traffic and extended trips.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work involves driving a vehicle where there may be physical discomforts associated with changes in weather such as rain, cold, snow, heat or discomforts associated with long distance trips or heavy traffic.
Work is performed in an office, shelter or social service facility where there are little to no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
