PSYCHIATRIC REHABILITATION COUNSELOR - $24.31/HOUR
South Jersey Behavioral Health Resources (SJBHR), a 501(c)(3) non- profit which may qualify for Public Service Loan Forgiveness is a community-based mental health organization dedicated to providing quality behavioral l health services in Southern New Jersey since 1984.
We are currently seeking a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Counselor. This is a full-time position with a robust benefits and time off package.
Under supervision, the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Counselor is responsible for providing a variety of community support services for adults with mental illness, including but not limited to, rehabilitative, skill development, pre-vocational and psycho-educational services to assist and support consumers to achieve community integration and remain in an independent living setting.
Interviews consumers to obtain relevant information regarding work experience, education background, interests, and socioeconomic history. Coordinates training for consumers requiring varied rehabilitative, vocational and/or other related services.
Maintains current clinical records and all required documentation, reflecting activities associated with consumers in the program.
Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited college/university with a Bachelors’ degree in a mental health or other appropriate human services related discipline. Experience in a community behavioral healthcare setting or certification as a psychiatric rehabilitation practitioner preferred.
Valid driver’s license is required. Driver’s abstract must meet insurance carrier’s requirements.
Upon hire, must satisfactorily complete the SJBHR orientation and competency based adult mental health rehabilitation program training.
