Responsibilities
- Supervises, orients, trains, schedules, evaluates, and disciplines staff, ensuring performance standards align with the agency’s mission and service objectives.
- Promotes teamwork and effective communication through regular staff meetings, policy reinforcement, and performance feedback.
- Guides Case Managers to ensure accurate reporting, client record maintenance, and documentation of client progress.
- Acts as an advocate and primary service coordinator for clients, leading the Provider Support Team, overseeing service plan implementation, and ensuring compliance with grant tasks.
- Participates in onboarding, coverage for absent staff, and other duties to maintain department operations.
- Engages in special projects, research, committees, mentorship, and cross-training initiatives.
Qualifications and Education
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field, as required by state regulations.
- QIDP certified or 40 hours of DHS-mandated QIDP classroom training.
- Minimum of two years experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, including one year supervisory experience.
- Valid Illinois Driver's License with proof of insurance.
- Within the first 12 months, acquire QIDP Train the Trainer certification, Safety Care, First Aid, and CPR certifications.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of laws, regulations, and methodologies related to developmental disabilities.
- Strong English language, report writing, data management, and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and operate a personal vehicle for transportation needs.
- Proficiency with Office 365, Adobe, and agency computer systems.
